## A free, private CRM that runs in your browser

CRM is a free customer relationship manager for freelancers, small businesses and sales teams who want their contacts and pipeline in one place without a subscription. Keep people and companies, track opportunities on a drag-and-drop deal board, write notes after every call, and set tasks so no follow-up slips. There is no sign-up, and nothing is uploaded: everything is saved in your browser on your own device.

Each contact has emails, phones, a status from cold to hot, tags, an owner, custom fields and a timeline of notes, tasks and deals. The dashboard shows what's in the pipeline, what was won this month, the win rate, tasks due and what needs attention, such as deals past their closing date or hot contacts you haven't spoken to lately. Import contacts from CSV or vCard, export any list to CSV, vCard or a calendar file, and download a single backup file to move your CRM to another computer.

## How to use the CRM

1. Create a workspace with its name and currency, or open the sample workspace to explore with a ready-made pipeline first.
2. Add your contacts and companies, or import them under Settings → Import from a CSV export (Google Contacts, Outlook, Excel, another CRM) or a vCard file from your phone. Columns are matched for you, and you see what each row does before anything is saved.
3. Create deals for each opportunity with an amount, an expected closing date and the people involved. Drag cards across the board from Lead to Won or Lost; on a touch screen, press and hold a card first.
4. After each call or meeting, open the contact or deal and add a note, optionally with attachments, and a task for the next step. Tasks due today and overdue show on the dashboard and in the Tasks list, and can be exported to your calendar.
5. Check the dashboard for the pipeline, wins and what needs attention, and download a backup from Settings → Backup & data now and then.

## What's included

- **Contacts**: Name, job title, company, several emails and phone numbers, LinkedIn, background, a status (cold, warm, hot, customer), tags, owner, newsletter opt-in, photo and custom fields. Search, filter by status, tag, owner, last contact and open tasks, and sort by recent contact.
- **Companies**: Sector, size, revenue, website, address, tax ID, logo, tags and owner, with their people, deals, notes and tasks on one page. Card or table view.
- **Deal pipeline**: A kanban board with columns per stage, totals per column and drag-and-drop with the mouse, by touch or with the keyboard. Amount, expected closing date, category, owner, linked contacts and archiving of closed deals. A list view with filters for closing this month or overdue.
- **Your own stages**: Rename, reorder, add and remove stages, and mark which ones count as won or lost. Edit the deal categories, company sectors, task types and contact statuses too.
- **Notes and attachments**: Notes on contacts, companies and deals, dated when the conversation happened, with files attached. A note can move a contact's status along, and updates when they were last seen.
- **Tasks and reminders**: Calls, emails, meetings and follow-ups with due dates, grouped into overdue, today, tomorrow, this week and later. Tick them off from anywhere; export open tasks to Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar as an .ics file.
- **Activity timeline**: Every new contact, company and deal, every note, finished task and won or lost deal, newest first, for the whole workspace or one record. A company's timeline includes its people and deals.
- **Dashboard**: Open pipeline value, won this month compared with last month, win rate over 90 days, tasks due, value per stage, won, open and lost deals by month, upcoming tasks, hot contacts, latest activity and a list of what needs attention.
- **Import**: Contacts and companies from CSV or pasted spreadsheet cells, with automatic column matching and a preview of every row, and contacts from vCard (.vcf) files. Matching emails and company names update existing records instead of creating duplicates.
- **Duplicates and merging**: Find contacts that share an email, phone number or name at the same company, and merge them: notes, tasks, deals, emails and phones move to the one you keep.
- **Export**: Contacts, companies, deals and tasks as CSV for Excel or Google Sheets, contacts as vCard for phones and email apps, and tasks as a calendar file.
- **Tags and custom fields**: Coloured tags on contacts and companies, and extra text, number, date, link or choice fields on contacts, companies and deals, included in forms, details, import and export.
- **Team owners**: List the people on your team and assign contacts, companies, deals and tasks to them, then filter by owner.
- **Quick to use**: Ctrl+K to find any contact, company or deal, a + New menu everywhere, bulk tagging and status changes, and undo for the last changes.
- **Private and offline**: Stored in your browser's IndexedDB, never on a server, and works offline once loaded. Contact avatars are made from initials or a photo you choose, never looked up online. One backup file restores everything, attachments included, on any computer.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is this CRM really free?

Yes. There is no account, trial or paid plan, and no limit on contacts or deals beyond your browser's storage, which is usually several gigabytes.

### Where is my data stored?

In your web browser on this device (IndexedDB). Nothing is sent to a server, so we can't see your contacts, and they don't sync between devices. Download a backup from Settings → Backup & data and restore it in another browser to move them.

### Can my team share one CRM?

Not live. Each browser has its own copy, so there are no logins or permissions, and changes made in two places don't merge. You can list your team as owners and assign records to them, and pass a backup file to a colleague to restore on their computer.

### How do I import my contacts?

Go to Settings → Import. Export a CSV from Google Contacts, Outlook, Excel, HubSpot or another CRM and pick the file (or paste the cells), check the column matching, and look at the preview before importing. From a phone or Apple Contacts, export a vCard (.vcf) file instead. Contacts whose email is already in the CRM are updated rather than duplicated, and companies and tags are created as needed.

### How do I move a deal on the board?

Drag the card to another column with the mouse. On a phone or tablet, press and hold the card until it lifts, then drag. With a keyboard, focus a card and press Alt with the left or right arrow to change stage, or up and down to reorder. You can also pick the stage on the deal's own page.

### How is the win rate worked out?

Deals won divided by deals won plus deals lost, among those closed in the last 90 days. A deal counts as closed when it moves into a stage marked Won or Lost in Settings → Pipeline; archived deals still count.

### Does it send emails or sync with Gmail?

No. Email addresses open your own email app, and phone numbers dial from your phone. Paste the important parts of a conversation into a note, and attach files if you need them.

### Can I lose my data?

Yes, if your browser's site data is cleared, the browser is uninstalled or the device is lost, so keep backups. The dashboard reminds you when the last backup is over two weeks old. Mistakes inside the app are easier: undo the last changes from the message that appears, or press Ctrl+Z.

### How is this different from HubSpot, Pipedrive or Atomic CRM?

It covers the everyday core of those tools (contacts, companies, a deal pipeline, notes, tasks, an activity log and a dashboard) in a page that opens instantly and needs no account or server. It leaves out email sync, logins and permissions, automation and integrations, so a team that needs those should use a hosted CRM.
